Request for information from Residents

Earlier this month, a meeting was held regarding the ongoing issues at Blithfield Reservoir and the surrounding roads. This meeting was chaired by County Councillor Catherine Brown (this was incorrect on my previous Smart Alert).

I asked in the previous Alert for residents to start collecting data in relation to these issues to present to Highways and other agencies at the next meeting, currently planned for January 2026 (exact date TBD). I have been asked whether there is a faster method, or a template of any kind, that residents can use to record the information. I have created a Form for this with the relevant information.

The Form will make it easier to compile the information and present it. Please forward this on to anyone who is not on Smart Alert but lives within the affected area.

I still intend to hold an Engagement Event in the area in December. I know not everyone will feel comfortable completing a Form online, and others prefer physical means of recording information. I still intend to collect those at that event and compile them all together with Police data.

I do note, and agree with residents, that requesting data now the season is declining is unhelpful. I would still like to request any data you may have that is relevant to this case. If you plan to back date your data, please don't go past the beginning of 2025 (this is for ease of compiling, although I agree this has gone on for years). I want to be as accurate as possible to showcase the same incidents we and residents see on a regular basis to the other agencies at the meeting.
